The Mortgage Guide Hub Editorial Team writes and maintains every guide on this site. We research each topic from primary sources, such as HUD handbooks and mortgagee letters, VA and USDA program guidance, FHFA loan limits, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guides, CFPB rules and IRS pages, and we link to them with the date we checked them. Guides are reviewed at least every six months and whenever a program changes. Translated editions are written natively for each language community and checked against the same sources. We are not a lender or broker and we do not accept payment for coverage.
